FeverWarn, by MachineSense

Delivers Waiver Integration With Body Temperature Scanning

FeverWarn by MachineSense, a self-service temperature scanning solution that calculates body temperature to detect fevers, now offers a waiver form app that makes screening fans, guests, staff, customers and any group of people quick and easy. The solution captures needed data without requiring additional hardware or software to operate. FeverWarn’s visitor waiver app integrates with fever scanners to help users digitally authorize and submit waiver forms from their individual mobile devices, ensuring little to no physical contact with security personnel. Each submitted form has a unique ID that is connected to a person’s temperature scan. Upon form submission, the person receives a unique QR or barcode stored in the app that they scan with the FeverWarn reader to get their temperature scanned. The device associates the scanned code with the person’s temperature and stores it for compliance and risk management reporting. Image courtesy of FeverWarn

Genetec

Unified Platform to Enhance Awareness and Response

The new version of Security Center Omnicast — the video management system of Genetec’s Security Center — enables stadiums and large venue users to choose the type of storage for their specific needs, whether they are looking at real-time or on-demand access to video footage stored in the cloud. Depending on its recency and criticality, video can be stored in high performance storage for fast access or long-term storage to support flexible cost options, as well as data compliancy. Security Center 5.10 further taps mobile devices to reinvent the way organizations accomplish routine tasks on-the-go. Genetec Mobile, a unified app that enables users to access cameras, doors, and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) units from their smartphones, now supports Genetec Mission Control incidents, and standard operating procedures. This allows security staff located throughout the venue or stadium to trigger or view active incidents on maps or in list format, and record incidents in the field to notify colleagues in the operation center. A new specialized portal is also available to help customers manage mustering during evacuations. Image courtesy of Genetec

Cepteon and Barrier1 Systems

Combines Lidar Sensors With Edge Computing for Perimeter Surveillance

Cepteon and Barrier1 Systems have partnered for early-warning intrusion detection and onsite safety applications. The partnership leverages the capabilities of Cepton’s Helius system, which combines a network of Vista-P lidar sensors with edge computing and advanced perception software, to deliver real-time, anonymized, 3D object detection, classification, tracking and velocity. In one customer application, Barrier1 Systems has combined its barrier control systems with Helius to monitor the speed and direction of vehicles approaching entrance or exit points. If a vehicle exceeds a certain speed limit within a specified range, the system will flag it as a potential intrusion attempt and trigger an alert to the central system for further actions. By classifying vehicle travel direction, it can also guard against incoming threats through outbound roadways. Image courtesy of Cepteon and Barrier1

Evolv Technology

Weapons Detection System Couples With Analytics for Further Security Insight

Evolv Express by Evolv Technology is a no-stop weapons-screening system built to automatically screen groups of people as they walk through without slowing or stopping. Express screens visitors individually or together, consistently screening 60 people every minute, while automatically differentiating weapons from personal items, according to the company. Express is designed to address active shooter incidents by detecting potential shooters before they enter a venue, without slowing the flow of visitors or fans. Applications for Express include addressing workplace gun violence and school shootings, protecting iconic landmarks and keeping sports and entertainment venues safe. The solution can provide security guards with a real-time image on a local tablet, highlighting the individual with the potential threat and the location on the visitor’s body or in their bag. Now, the solution includes an optional capability that allows venues to screen each visitor or employee for elevated skin temperature. Evolv Insight, part of Evolv Express, is a new SaaS analytics solution that leverages data from Evolv Express and its machine learning and AI engine, and provides security and operations teams with a single, easy-to-use, self-service dashboard to view, review, analyze and gather key data like visitor arrival curves, total venue visitor counts, system detection performance, alarm statistics, threat categories and counts and comparisons across multiple business dimensions including sites, locations within sites, event types, system detection settings, time periods and more. Delta Scientific

Offers Security for Short-Term Events

Delta Scientific’s DSC1500 portable beam barricade sets up quickly and temporarily to block vehicles and secure locations during short-term events and anywhere a beam barricade is needed for interim security. With a clear opening of 16 feet, the DSC1500 is M30 certified, able to stop a 15,000 pound vehicle going 30 mph. The DSC1500 tows into position to control vehicle access within 10 minutes. No excavation or sub-surface preparation is required. Once positioned, the mobile barricades unpack themselves using manual hydraulics to raise and lower the barriers off their wheels. A self-deploying trailer with integrated lifting device facilitates rapid installation. The process is reversed when the event is over or the time comes to deploy the beam barrier at another location. Image courtesy of Delta Scientific

ISS

Provides Under-Vehicle Surveillance

ISS’ SecurOS UVSS (Under Vehicle Surveillance System) combines software and hardware for under-vehicle surveillance, is natively developed with a number of ISS’ analytic patents and designed to integrate with the ISS SecurOS v10 platform. SecurOS UVSS creates a database of high-resolution images of vehicle undercarriages and recognizes vehicle license plates, making it ideal for numerous venues where underground parking or structured parking facilities are utilized. Unlike makeshift under-vehicle surveillance deployments, the ISS SecurOS UVSS can monitor vehicles with high precision, and can be deployed virtually out of the box when interfaced with the ISS SecurOS VMS. Other differentiating features include automatic vehicle presence detection; automatic comparison of a vehicle’s undercarriage image with reference images stored in the user’s database; simultaneous display of live and archived video from all cameras; built-in machine vision camera; corresponding ISS LPR/ANPR cameras; and interoperability with integrated security and access control systems, traffic lights, barriers, electronic displays and third-party systems. The SecurOS UVSS has an energy consumption of 30 watts and its platform weight is approximately 29 pounds. Image courtesy of ISS

AeroDefense

Detects Drones and Provides Situational Awareness

AeroDefense’s patented drone detection system, AirWarden, provides security teams the situational awareness and configurable alerts needed to respond to drone threats. Operating on the physical radio frequency (RF) signal level, the system utilizes spectrum-sensing technology to detect and locate both known and unknown drones and their pilots (controllers) simultaneously. The technology operates effectively in urban environments with very heavy RF-saturation, as well as remote areas. AirWarden requires no authorization for domestic commercial use. It does not demodulate and decode RF signals by extracting information such as GPS coordinates, drone serial numbers, or time stamps from the drone communication channel. AirWarden has received a SAFETY Act Developmental Testing & Evaluation Designation. End users can receive immunity from liability claims alleging technology failure in the event of a terror attack under the SAFETY Act. Image courtesy of AeroDefense
