The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) in partnership with Perpetuity Research has opened up a study to explore the roles, responsibilities and training of frontline Security Officers (sometimes referred to as security guards).
The survey is now open here, and calls on all security guards/officers up to the supervisor level to fill out the survey so the industry can gain comprehensive insight into the education, responsibilities, and tasks that make up the modern security officer's role.
“I’m delighted that this ‘ground breaking’ research project has been launched. This study is long overdue and will serve the 21st century security officers well in that much is to be learned by their current job complexities,” says Sandi Davies, Executive Director at IFPO. “Most importantly, the results will become critical in the development of educational programs for these frontline workers.”
All of the information gathered from the study will be used by IFPO and Perpetuity Research in further development and expansion of educational programs and certification standards within the industry. The survey will close on May 31, 2021 and respondents can opt in to receive a free copy of the findings, along with be entered in to a gift card drawing.
